How to Create Amazon Product Images That Convert

Amazon's image requirements, the ideal gallery structure, and how to build the whole set from a single photo.

The main image rules

Pure white background, product filling around 85% of the frame, no props, no text, no logos or watermarks. Upload at 1600 px or larger on the longest side so zoom is enabled.

Build the gallery in order

Slot one: the compliant packshot. Slots two to four: lifestyle context showing the product in use. Slot five onward: detail crops, scale reference and what's in the box.

You can generate every one of these from the same source photo by switching presets between exports.

Test at thumbnail size

Most shoppers see your image at a few hundred pixels wide in search results. If the product silhouette isn't instantly legible at that size, the image is not doing its job.

Try it on your own photo
